About the winery: The Champagne house Monmarthe is a typical family business which is known to have owned vineyards since 1737, the grapes of which were sold to the large Champagne houses. Since 1930 they have concentrated on making their own Champagne. At present they have 17 ha. of vineyards at their disposal, around the town of Ludes, just below Reims and all in the Premier Cru category. Only grapes from their own vineyards are used to make Champagne Monmarthe.
