Pecorino is a hard Italian sheep's cheese. This Pecorino Romano from Lazio has a strong and salty flavour. The salty flavour is partly due to the cheese being washed with seawater during preparation.
Pecorino Romano is the cheese that goes with well-known pasta dishes such as the Carbonara, Amatriciana and the Cacio e Pepe. Also central to these dishes is, for example, Guanciale, which is of course also available from us.
