Martelli Penne Classiche
Respecting the old Italian tradition, we produce only non-ridged penne. Martelli's Penne Classiche are smooth, delicate and so porous that they do not need ridges to hold the sauce. All our pasta shapes are obtained by slowly mixing the best Italian durum wheat semolina with cold water. The pasta is formed using bronze dies and dries at a low temperature (33-36 degrees Celsius) for about 50 hours, which makes it very rough an porous. The result is a delicious pasta which holds every sauce and condiment very well.
