Varvaglione 12eMezzo Pinot Grigio del Salento
Not yet rated | Create your own review
The Pinot Grigio from Varvaglione's '12eMezzo' series is exactly what you expect from a pinot grigio, floral in the nose with some citrus, pear and acacia on the palate.
Particulars: The '12eMezzo' gets its name from the alcohol percentage of this wine. Translated into English, it literally means 'twelve-and-a-halve'. This alcohol content is exceptionally low for wines from Puglia (Salento) as these wines are often around 15%. This unique characteristic was reason for Cosimo Varvaglione (the winemaker of these fine wines) to call these wines '12eMezzo'.
